Overcoming fear of public speaking with Voce Vera

Speaking in public often creates feelings of discomfort, embarrassment and agitation. In addition, memories of negative experiences in the office or at home may worsen the situation and silence a person.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

The good news is that speaking in public to express one’s views is an art that can be learned with the proper knowledge and training.

Voce Vera follows these methods:

  1. Awareness. A crucial step to addressing and overcoming stage fright is to realize that it actually comes from unawareness. In other words, it comes from a lack of adequate knowledge needed to handle the situation with ease.
  2. Identification. Once you recognize the problem, you need to find – amidst the confusion of thoughts, emotions and doubts – where that unawareness lies. With the help of the online self-awareness test, you can begin to figure out which of the three training areas would be most helpful to you.
  3. Reflection. Once you identify the areas which require the most attention, you can contact the teacher and directly discuss possible solutions. Based on your situation and your specific needs, she can create a personalized training program.
  4. Action. Once you have decided on the curriculum, it is time to take action and begin the targeted mental and physical workout. This is the most important step: it is impossible to overcome fear of public speaking through rational thinking. Doing so requires practice and mental and physical training.
  5. Evaluation. Throughout the entire learning process, Voce Vera will evaluate the student’s progress to identify new strategies and / or to consolidate those implemented.
